Prunus × subhirtella ‘Pendula’ weeping higan cherry
This graceful tree has branches sometimes sweeping the ground and pink flowers in early spring. It is considered by many a worthy tree even if it never bloomed. Campus’s only remaining specimen is at 716 Alvarado Road. Two used to grow in planters between Hoover Tower and the adjacent exhibition pavilion.
