Prunus subhirtella ‘Pendula’
weeping Higen cherry
An old, standard recently reintroduced to campus, this graceful tree has branches sometimes sweeping the ground and pink flowers in late winter. Considered by many a worthy tree even if it never bloomed. Two specimens grow in planters between Hoover Tower and the adjacent exhibition pavilion.
