Loropetalum chinense loropetalum
China, Japan
Shrub, spreading and arching to 5 feet tall. Clusters of 4 to 8 fringe-like small flowers at branch tips each with 4 narrow, twisted petals. Cultivars with purplish foliage and pink to purple flowers are mostly seen on campus.
