A small tree, 9 feet tall, profuse, white, urn-shaped blooms. In bloom March 1, 2004. Growing near the east wall of CCRMA, 660 Lomita Drive, The Knoll. The east wall is the first side of the building encountered after the facade and main entrance, which looks out on Lomita.

Key choices in Bailey, Manual of Cultivated Plants: Lvs glabrous | stamens included | winter/spring blooming | 8 ft or more tall | stems with stout, branched hairs; white stigma conspicuously flattened.
